Alice's Bucket List

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

There is not much that I can say about a brave teenage girl who has been fighting for her life for years, and is now willing to put her story out there to share with the world and those who may benefit. 15 year old Alice from Ulverston, UK, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and has a bucket list that she has put on her blog to share with all of us. Her whole story is touching and heartbreaking, and the simple requests of a this young girl make me want to help in any way possible. It is devastating to know that there are a few items on her list that she is no longer even able to do because of her illness.

Alice's Bucket List

For those of you who have read my blog before, you know that I had written about a friend I went to school with (David Smyth: Fighting For A Cause) who lost his battle to Leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. He never gave up his fight, and he was constantly trying to raise awareness for the fact that bone marrow donors are very rare and the chances of a match are very slim. Let's try and raise more awareness for Alice, David, and anyone else who needs our help. Sign up to be a bone marrow donor. Visit ONE MATCH for more information. Whether you are in Canada or not, you can get information through that website and then if you feel comfortable in becoming a donor, contact your local blood services.

Let's help raise awareness, and bring her story even more to the forefront of the cyber world. Click the links below to visit Alice's blog and tweet with the hashtag #alicebucketlist on Twitter to join in the support of this brave girl. Please help spread the word!
